Daycamp Day 5 – Friday

THEME: Building God’s neighborhood.

TODAY’S VERSE: “Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of
building up the neighbor” (Romans 15:2).

Day 5 is here! Thanks for a great week of learning and playing with us. Now that your Daycamp kits are empty, fill that box up with food donations and drop them off at church or your local food pantry. Thank you for taking care of your neighbors!

Let’s start with another favorite Daycamp song to get us moving today!

TODAY’S SUPPLY LIST

Items included in your “Friday” bag:

  • Game (never have I ever) – coins/tokens;
  • Snack – Pocky sticks/rice krispie treats;
  • Craft (Japanese folding fan) – paper, popsicle stick, crayons/markers optional

Below is today’s video containing an Opening Skit, Prayers, Bible Reading, Game, Craft and Storytime about our country of the day.

Feel free to pause the video as needed to complete the activities (it lasts about 20 minutes). Don’t forget to check out our song videos any time you’re ready for a dance break!

Here’s one last review of our story for the week – The Good Samaritan:

We hope you have a great time at Daycamp! Share photos and videos of your day on our Facebook event page!

If you ever need more instructions – check out the full resource guide.

Our traditional Daycamp food drive is still happening!! Donations can be placed in the boxes outside our church entrance during Daycamp week. Thank you for sharing with your neighbors!

If you aren’t our ‘local’ neighbor, we encourage you to find your town’s food pantry and make a donation or visit ELCA.org/hunger to learn more ways to help fight hunger all over the world.
