This day celebrates the anniversary of Martin Luther and the other reformers who went against the church of the day to call the church and all Christians back to the core of the gospel message—that we are saved by grace through faith and not of our works.
As part of this celebration, we are asking people to wear something RED (which is the color of the day).
We use red on reformation as a sign of the Spirit—because the reformation is a time when the Holy Spirit blew across the church to bring about renewal within the church.
