Readings for the Day:
Isaiah 44:6-8:  God declares, "I am the first and I am the last," affirming that there is no other God who can compare in power, faithfulness, or knowledge. In the face of uncertainty, God's people are called not to fear but to trust the One who has always been their Rock and Redeemer.

Romans 8:12-25:  Paul reminds believers that through the Holy Spirit we are adopted as God's children and made heirs with Christ. Though creation and humanity continue to experience suffering, we live with confident hope, waiting for the fullness of God's promised redemption and the renewal of all creation.

Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43:  In the parable of the weeds among the wheat, Jesus teaches that good and evil often exist side by side in the present age. Rather than rushing to judgment, God patiently allows time for growth, promising that justice and righteousness will ultimately prevail in God's kingdom.

Questions To Ponder:
1— Where do you need to remember God's steadfast presence and trust that God alone is your secure foundation?  (Isaiah 44:6-8)
2—How does the promise of being God's beloved child give you hope as you face present struggles? (Romans 8:12-25)
3—How can you practice patience, faithfulness, and hope while trusting God to bring about ultimate justice?
(Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43)
4—How do these texts speak to you today?

Prayer:  You are great, O God, and greatly to be praised.  You have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you.  Grant that we may believe in you, call upon you, know you, and serve you.  Amen.
