Readings for the Day:
Lamentations 3:19-24: In the midst of profound grief and loss, the writer remembers God's steadfast love and faithfulness. Even when circumstances seem hopeless, hope is renewed each morning because God's mercy never fails. The passage reminds us that trusting in God does not deny suffering but finds hope within it.
Romans 8:31-39: Paul proclaims the unwavering confidence believers have in God's love revealed through Christ. No hardship, suffering, or power in all creation can separate us from the love of God. This passage is a triumphant reminder that God's grace is stronger than every fear and every challenge.
Matthew 11:28-29: Jesus invites all who are weary and burdened to come to him and receive rest. Rather than adding to life's heavy loads, Jesus offers a gentle yoke that leads to peace, renewal, and a life shaped by grace. True rest is found in walking with Christ.
Questions To Ponder:
1— When life feels uncertain or overwhelming, where have you experienced God's faithfulness giving you hope? (Lamentations 3:19-24)
2—What fears or struggles do you need to entrust to the unshakable love of God? (Romans 8:31-39)
3—What burdens are you carrying that Jesus is inviting you to place into his care? (Matthew 11:28-29)
4—How do these texts speak to you today?
Prayer: You are great, O God, and greatly to be praised. You have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you. Grant that we may believe in you, call upon you, know you, and serve you. Amen.
